DIRECTION 03 / HOSPITALS

Could the beds we have go further?

Before adding capacity, what could we learn about the capacity already waiting inside the system?

An idea to investigate

The possibility

I’m interested in helping hospitals explore AI through consultation and implementation. The starting point could be a data layer over existing systems, documents, and operational signals, followed by intelligence around a specific bottleneck.

The context underneath

Patient journeys, bed status, discharge steps, claims, handoffs, and existing hospital records.

What could be useful?

  • Study discharge, coordination, and administrative bottlenecks
  • Connect context across paper processes and existing software
  • Explore focused AI implementations and measure their usefulness

What I want to learn

  1. Where is usable capacity being lost today?
  2. What can work with the information a hospital already has?
  3. Which improvements would be meaningful to staff and patients?
Start with a real workflow, understand its constraints, and earn the next step through evidence.

These are exploratory directions. The first implementation, its form factor, and any clinical or operational value would need to be tested in the setting where it is used.
